International Congress on Vegetarian Nutrition

The International Congress on Vegetarian Nutrition is held every 5 years and is the premier scientific conference on the health effects of plant-based diets. It brings together international scientists, physicians, nutritionists, dietitians, and other health professionals to highlight the latest advances from basic science, epidemiology, and clinical trials in vegetarian nutrition. The theme of the scientific program for the 7th International Congress on Vegetarian Nutrition is “Plant-based Nutrition for Personal, Population and Planetary Health.”

The California Walnut Commission (CWC) will be supporting a session with Dr. Wendy Bazilian, “The Fork in the Road Plate: The Intersection of Flavor and Health in Plant-based Eating.” Additionally, CWC will be exhibiting to share educational resources and health research information, as well as speak to attendees about the benefits of walnuts.
