Description

This Asian spiced crumble is loaded with flavor. Serve in wonton wrappers or in lettuce wraps.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups California walnuts

  • 1 1/2 cups canned black beans, rinsed and drained

  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce

  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger

  • 1 teaspoon Chinese 5 spice

  • 2 tablespoons oil

PREPARATION

  1. Place walnuts in a food processor and pulse to coarsely chop.

  2. Add beans, soy sauce, sesame oil and seasonings and pulse to form a crumble, scraping down the sides as needed.

  3. Heat remaining oil in a large non-stick skillet and sauté mixture until slightly browned, stirring frequently.
