  • 1 wheel (8 ounces) Brie cheese
  • 1/2 cup coarsely chopped California walnuts
  • 2 tablespoons real maple syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

PREPARATION

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Slice top rind off brie.
  2. Place brie, cut side up, on a baking sheet lined with foil and bake for 15 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, add walnuts, maple syrup, salt and pepper to a small skillet and cook over medium heat, stirring very frequently until syrup has evaporated.
  4. Allow brie to cool for a few minutes, transfer to serving dish and spoon maple glazed walnuts on top. Serve immediately with assorted crackers, apple slices or baguette.
