This liqueur will elevate your favorite whiskey cocktail with a slight, toasted nut essence.
Ingredients
2 cups California walnuts, toasted
1 cup vodka
¾ cup cane sugar
½ cup water, filtered and distilled
PREPARATION
Blend the toasted walnuts in a blender. Mix with the liqueur. Cook over a double boiler until the walnuts have a pureed consistency. Cook the result with the sugar, stirring until obtaining a paste.
Strain with a sieve and store in an airtight glass container at room temperature.
