California Walnut Milk
Description
This is a great dairy substitute in creamy cocktails and provides a light, nutty flavor.
Ingredients
4 cups
California walnuts
, toasted
4 ½ cups
water
, filtered and distilled
1 ounce
honey
¼ ounce
vanilla extract
1 pinch
kosher salt
PREPARATION
Blend all of the ingredients in a blender until you obtain a thick liquid.
Strain with a sieve, and then pass through cheesecloth to remove smaller particulates from the liquid.
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
