California Walnut Milk

Description

This is a great dairy substitute in creamy cocktails and provides a light, nutty flavor.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups California walnuts, toasted
  • 4 ½ cups water, filtered and distilled
  • 1 ounce honey
  • ¼ ounce vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch kosher salt

PREPARATION

  1. Blend all of the ingredients in a blender until you obtain a thick liquid.
  2. Strain with a sieve, and then pass through cheesecloth to remove smaller particulates from the liquid.
  3. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
