Crunchy, cheesy and savory—these parmesan herbed walnuts are the perfect snack for any occasion.
½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
1 teaspoon parsley flakes
½ teaspoon Italian herb seasoning
½ teaspoon garlic salt
Dash of cayenne pepper
1 egg white
2 cups walnuts
In a medium bowl, combine Parmesan cheese, parsley flakes, herb seasoning, garlic salt and cayenne pepper; set aside.
In a separate medium bowl, beat egg white until frothy. Add walnuts and toss to coat. Add walnuts to cheese mixture and mix thoroughly.
Spread in a single layer on a lightly oiled parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Bake in 250°F oven for about 30 minutes, until golden and crisp. Stir the walnuts several times while baking to break them up.
Cool for 10 to 15 minutes after removing from the oven. Store in an airtight container.
