This smoothie gets its nutty flavor from California walnuts and is sweetened with fresh strawberries and dates.
1½ cups California walnuts
1½ cups water
1½ cups strawberries, hulled and quartered
½ cup California walnuts
½ cup plain Greek yogurt (or a 5.3-oz individual cup)
½ cup Walnut Cream, plus 1 tsp for garnish
3 Medjool dates, pitted
Place walnuts and water in a high-speed blender container. Blend at low speed, then increase to high. Blend for 3 minutes or until very smooth. Store any unused cream in a covered container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
Place all ingredients in a blender container and puree until very smooth.
Add 1 tsp of the walnut cream to the inside of the serving glass. Pour the blended ingredients into the serving glass. Serve.
