Chocolate and Walnut Covered Banana Pops

Looking for the perfect nostalgic sweet treat for the warm summer months? Frozen bananas dipped in chocolate and sprinkled with walnuts are the answer!
Ingredients
- 3 bananas
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup California walnuts, chopped
- Special equipment: 6 popsicle sticks
Preparation
- Line a small baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside. Peel bananas and cut in half crosswise. Insert a popsicle stick through the cut side.
- Place chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on HIGH in 20 second increments, stirring between each, until chocolate is completely melted. Transfer to a tall, narrow container and dip each banana in melted chocolate, or hold banana over the chocolate and spoon over all sides, turning to coat completely. Sprinkle each with 1 tablespoon walnuts. Place on a parchment or wax paper lined tray and place in the freezer until frozen, about 2 hours.
- Serve immediately or wrap individually in plastic wrap and store in the freezer for up to 2 weeks.
