Walnut Pesto Turkey Burgers
DESCRIPTION
Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh basil leaves
- 1/4 cup Italian flat leaf parsley
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 2 cups walnut halves and pieces
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese (use vegan parmesan for dairy free alternative)
- 1 pound 99% lean turkey burgers
- 1 large egg
Preparation
- Combine basil, parsley, garlic, walnuts and cheese in a food processor. Pulse until course and just combined.
- Hand mix with ground turkey and eggs.
- Divide mixture into burgers. Heat olive oil in large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Cook burgers 6 minutes per side or until no longer pink in center.
- Serve with desired fixings like lettuce, tomato, buns, etc.
