Asian Spiced Walnut Crumble
DESCRIPTION
This Asian spiced crumble is loaded with flavor. Serve in wonton wrappers or in lettuce wraps.
Ingredients
- 2 cups California walnuts
- 1 1/2 cups canned black beans, rinsed and drained
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon Chinese 5 spice
- 2 tablespoons oil
Preparation
- Place walnuts in a food processor and pulse to coarsely chop.
- Add beans, soy sauce, sesame oil and seasonings and pulse to form a crumble, scraping down the sides as needed.
- Heat remaining oil in a large non-stick skillet and sauté mixture until slightly browned, stirring frequently.
