California Walnut Milk
DESCRIPTION
This is a great dairy substitute in creamy cocktails and provides a light, nutty flavor.
Ingredients
- 4 cups California walnuts, toasted
- 4 ½ cups water, filtered and distilled
- 1 ounce honey
- ¼ ounce vanilla extract
- 1 pinch kosher salt
Preparation
- Blend all of the ingredients in a blender until you obtain a thick liquid.
- Strain with a sieve, and then pass through cheesecloth to remove smaller particulates from the liquid.
- Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
