California Walnut Salsa
DESCRIPTION
This salsa is so simple to make as starts with canned tomatoes. Roasted red peppers and jalapeno peppers add extra flavor, while toasted walnuts add extra crunch.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup California walnuts, toasted and chopped
- 1/2 cup onion, chopped
- 3 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
- 2 teaspoons lime juice
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (14 1/2-oz.) can fire-roasted diced tomatoes, drained and chopped
- 1/2 jalapeno pepper, stemmed, seeded, and minced
Preparation
- Stir together all ingredients in a medium bowl. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
