California Walnut Sausage Crumble
DESCRIPTION
Use this tasty and nutritious plant-based walnut sausage on pasta or pizza.
Ingredients
- 1 cup California walnuts, soaked for 30 minutes in water
- 1 tablespoon coconut aminos
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 teaspoons fennel seeds
- 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon celery salt
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Preparation
- Drain walnuts and place in a food processor; pulse to coarsely chop.
- Add coconut aminos, olive oil, fennel seeds, Italian seasoning, onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika and celery salt. Process to a ground meat texture.
- Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a large nonstick skillet. Add sausage crumble mixture and cook for 3 minutes or until lightly browned, stirring occasionally.
