Ingredients
- ½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 teaspoon parsley flakes
- ½ teaspoon Italian herb seasoning
- ½ teaspoon garlic salt
- Dash of cayenne pepper
- 1 egg white
- 2 cups walnuts
Preparation
- In a medium bowl, combine Parmesan cheese, parsley flakes, herb seasoning, garlic salt and cayenne pepper; set aside.
- In a separate medium bowl, beat egg white until frothy. Add walnuts and toss to coat. Add walnuts to cheese mixture and mix thoroughly.
- Spread in a single layer on a lightly oiled parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Bake in 250°F oven for about 30 minutes, until golden and crisp. Stir the walnuts several times while baking to break them up.
- Cool for 10 to 15 minutes after removing from the oven. Store in an airtight container.
