Ingredients

  • 2 cups California Walnuts
  • 2 tsp neutral oil (such a canola, avocado, walnut or grapeseed oil)
  • ½ tbsp maple syrup
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup instant/quick cooking oats
  • ½ cup (3 oz) sweetened dried tart cherries, roughly chopped

Preparation

  1. Make the walnut butter by blending the walnuts, oil, maple syrup and vanilla extract together in a food processor.
  2. Place the walnut butter in a bowl and mix in oats and chopped dried tart cherries.
  3. Using your hands, grab about a tablespoon of the mixture and roll into balls. Refrigerate and enjoy the bites for up to 1 week.
