Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce or tamari if gluten-free
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey
  • 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger or 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon grated garlic or 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • 1 cup California walnuts

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 300F. Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Combine all ingredients, except the walnuts, in a medium bowl. Whisk until everything is combined. Add walnuts; stir until walnuts are evenly coated.
  3. Spread walnuts in a single layer on prepared baking sheet. Bake 15 minutes or until golden and crisp. Let cool completely before eating.
  4. Store nuts in an airtight container for up to two weeks.
