Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 2 yolks
  • 5 1/2 ounces maple sugar
  • 3 ounces butter, melted
  • 7 ounces California walnuts, toasted & ground
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 9-inch pre-baked tart or pie crust

Preparation

  1. In a mixer whip the eggs, yolks and sugar until thick and smooth. Stir in the melted butter and salt - then fold in the ground walnuts by hand. Pour into a pre-baked tart shell and bake at 350°F until set; 35-40 minutes.
  2. Serve with fresh fruit compote, whipped cream or ice cream.
