California Walnut Liqueur
DESCRIPTION
This liqueur will elevate your favorite whiskey cocktail with a slight, toasted nut essence.
Ingredients
- 2 cups California walnuts, toasted
- 1 cup vodka
- ¾ cup cane sugar
- ½ cup water, filtered and distilled
Preparation
- Blend the toasted walnuts in a blender. Mix with the liqueur. Cook over a double boiler until the walnuts have a pureed consistency. Cook the result with the sugar, stirring until obtaining a paste.
- Strain with a sieve and store in an airtight glass container at room temperature.
