Ingredients

  • 1 cup California walnuts, raw
  • ½ cup lavender flowers
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 cups water, filtered
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt

Preparation

  1. Place water in a stockpot and add lavender flowers and walnuts. Boil for about 10 minutes, then drain and rinse well.
  2. Put boiled walnuts into a food processor or blender with 3 to 4 cups of filtered water and add in vanilla, honey and sea salt. Blend until mixture has some time to merge together.
  3. Strain through cheesecloth into a bowl, squeezing out excess liquid into the bowl. Let chill and adjust seasoning as needed with vanilla, honey and sea salt. Serve chilled.
