On April 11, California Walnuts was delighted to sponsor a produce pairings lunch alongside USA Pears at the Produce for Better Health (PBH) Consumer Connection conference. This conference is attended by members of the produce industry, health/food influencers, foodservice professionals, retail dietitians, and more. The produce pairings lunch featured walnuts in a variety of different ways including plant-based meatballs, flatbread, walnut butter, muhammara sauce, and a poached pear dessert. During this conference, attendees had the opportunity to sample plant-forward dishes and snacks and learn more about the mission of Produce for Better Health and International Fresh Produce Association’s (IFPA) Foundation for Fresh Produce as they work together to improve the appeal of, and access to, plant-forward consumption.
