The California walnut industry would like to congratulate Jennifer Lester Moffitt on her appointment as the deputy secretary for legislation and special assistant to the secretary at the California Department of Food and Agriculture. Jennifer says of the appointment, “I am thrilled and honored to be working with various stakeholders, especially farmers, as California Department of Food and Agriculture embarks on some exciting and important initiatives.”
Jennifer currently works as the managing director at Dixon Ridge Farms which grows organic walnuts. She also holds a leadership position on the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board and is a member of the California Department of Food and Agriculture California Organic Products Advisory Committee.
