A newly opened Chinese restaurant in Tokyo is gaining media coverage thanks to a minced walnut ramen noodle menu item. The item is called “Ganso 66 Walnut Tantan Noodle”. It uses 100 grams of walnuts and sesame per serving, and is the first Tantan ramen noodle to use walnuts in Japan. The recipe was featured in Tokyo Broadcasting System’s well-known show “Ousama No Brunch.” Reporters commented that it has a strong taste of walnuts with big pieces in the soup, and that it made them feel as if they were drinking a walnut sesame smoothie. The soup comes with caramelized walnuts on the side so customers can enjoy their roasted aroma and crunchy texture.
