You’d never guess this chocolatey treat is made with nutritious ingredients like black beans and walnuts. Whip up a batch of this brownie batter as a dip for crackers or fresh fruit… and don’t forget to lick the spoon!
1 cup California walnuts
1/2 cup pure maple syrup
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
3 to 4 tablespoons water
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
1 (15-oz.) can black beans, rinsed and drained
Place all ingredients and process for 2 minutes or until very smooth, scraping down the sides of the bowl as needed.
Serve with sliced bananas, pears, strawberries, apples or graham crackers.
