The California walnut industry is conducting a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) to better understand the environmental impacts and benefits of walnut production across the supply chain, from nursery through handling. This effort will help the industry measure performance, respond to growing market expectations, and demonstrate the value of California walnuts using credible, data-based information. Participation is voluntary and individual results will remain confidential and will not be shared with the public.

The LCA is conducted in partnership with UC Davis and Measure to Improve.
