USDA Announces New ERP for 2022 Natural Disasters
The USDA has announced a revenue-based Emergency Relief Program (ERP) for producers impacted by 2022 natural disasters, such as the September heat wave that severely impacted the industry. The program will help offset the financial impacts of crop yield and value losses from qualifying disasters occurring in 2022.
Working with local FSA offices beginning October 31, growers will be able to apply for the program. All impacted growers should plan to collect their required documentation as soon as possible, and work with their local FSA office to submit them, along with the required FSA forms.
