To extend the promotion, California Walnuts posted a blog featuring See’s walnut products on walnuts.org, which garnered nearly 700 visits in just the first couple of days.
Both See’s and California Walnuts promoted the day on their social channels. See’s sent a videographer to conduct a Q&A with grower Jack Vickrey in Winters, California. Their Instagram story stated, “The quality of the walnuts is as great as the quality of our chocolate.” These social activations resulted in 140,000 total impressions, 4,500 engagements and 174 clicks linking to the CWB’s blog.
The CWB promotes California walnut usage across the U.S. through multimedia campaigns, in-store promotions and more. Since 2014/2015, domestic retail sales have seen an increase of up to 30%. Cross-promotions with well-known and respected brands like See’s Candies are just one way California Walnuts is connecting with new audiences and growing relevancy and usage in their everyday lives.
